Gmail ,yahoo or rediff?

I use yahoo and have for years. But lately I notice it is getting sluggish at certain times of the day. It doesn't matter if I am on DSL or dialup - same thing.
Several of my friends have switched to gmail. Can anybody tell me if they have any problems with it?
