Wow, so many countries went independent! Well, the two Koreas may count as one. Here we celebrate Ferragosto, but it's simply a day where we have BBQ or go to the seaside. In Sicily they stay up late, some even sleep on the beach (my boyfriend told me).

Pakistan also got independence on 15th August 1947. But, subsequently they decided to celebrate on 14th August.
