This is my daughters picture when she joined a painting contest. I remember her so happy during this day because although she did not win first prize, at least she had some cash prize. She still paints these days if her younger brother would ask some tips.

Oh I love this picture! So colorful and cheerful! I'm glad she won a prize for it. What media was this done in? I can't really tell. Is it acrylic paint? We used to use this stuff called tempera when I was a kid, Or watercolors. The tempera was a powder you mixed with water.
Does your daughter still enter in contests? How old is she?

She's now turning 16 this September and the photo was taken when was 11 I think. And she's grown up now. She no longer paints as before...Playing the guitar is her new passion.

@lingayako I started playing guitar at 14 and have picked it back up again. It's a great creative outlet, the guitar.

Yes, kabayan. They painted Claveria, Cagayan (our town), on its futuristic (Modernized)view...Taken when she was in Grade 6, about 4 years ago.

@lingayako - Ms Marlene - THAT is a fine piece of artwork - and your little girl is to be congratulated for having produced such good work. -Gus-
