Things to do before my 30s

I am 28 this year and I began realising that I am in my late twenties already. The 30s aren't far away. It is still a surprise to me though about how time flew so fast. I still remember my first day at primary school and last day of college. And now, 30s are just around the corner. Anyway, I can't grieve over it. I read it somewhere "growing older is a privilege denied to many". Well, I don't consider myself growing older either; I take it as growing younger. Forget about all this. The purpose of this post is to read a little from you. I have so many things at the back of my mind, from quitting my corporate job to travel the world to being a millionaire. But how to make all these wild dreams come true? Nearly impossible. Then, I have decided not to limit myself to age. Why always waiting for a decade to end or state to accomplish certain things? Why not "things to do at my 28"? Why not focusing on now? I think that's the best thing to do: living in the present moment. So yes, I am going to make so many things come true in my 28. Many little things. From spending more time with my parents to writing a book. I have a question for you now. What's your opinion on this? Do you have a piece of advice for me? It will be a pleasure learning from your experience too.

I have come to the conclusion some time ago that I will just take every day as it comes.

I like this thinking and this is the perspective I have embraced too. Life seems lighter, and it definitely doesn't seem to be a race when you take everyday as it comes. Isn't it?

I am 28 as well. And I did realize that 30 is around the corner as well. But there are still a lot of things that I can do. There is still sti me to do things.

So I am not alone feeling like this then. Welcome to the Club 28. How can we make 28 memorable though?

@excellence7 it's all up to us. I have three kids. They're helping me making it special in a way.

You can always travel around the world without being a millionaire. Both of my eldest grandsons have done it.

This is something I am already doing. I have been travelling a lot for the past six years and I will not stop here for sure. I am going to Tanzania in two weeks. I think life is made of three parts: building, living and sustaining. I want to spend more time living.

That's a nice thought, provided you can get back soon to career after that sabbatical. Make sure you have saved enough money. I couldn't think of such things when I was 28, but now as I am at the threshold of 40 can atleast think of some wild dreams. all the best and take the best decision.

Thank you for your comments. I think there is no age to have wild dreams, for age is just a number and dream is just a direction. We can choose a new direction at any point in time in life.

Why not ? You are still single so you have all the time to do it now . Once you get married and have a child , your time will be occupied bonding with the family aside from earning a living .

Are you sure about this? I know a lot of people who are married but yet are able to live the life they wish. It all depends on how you set your boundaries and how you balance your life. Don't you think so?

II am almost the same age as you and I feel the same way. I think it has something to do with quarter life crisis. My advise would be to make a bucket list then prioritize things depending on which is the most important to you. Afterwards, consider the resources that you currently have to see which is attainable now and which still needs some saving to be accomplished.

Bucket list. That's a nice suggestion. I'll make one for sure. You are right; I must start somewhere.

@fcmondez And what are the places you intend to visit? Baking classes? This sounds fascinating. I would love to learn cooking too, though I have been saying this for the past 5 years.

@excellence7 I also need to start mine. I also like to travel a little and list up for some classes like baking and dance.
