Do you wake up easily? Is it your job to get others up at home? How about your kids?
I wake up early because my husband does not hear the alarm . If I was really tired I could go right back to bed, but I almost always go ahead and get up. I do a lot of online work then.
I had a night owl friend who had reason to get up early today. Just to be sure she made it, I messaged her on Facebook. She was fine. I do not think she needed an extra reminder.
I absolutely hated getting my kids up and I was so glad when they decided to use alarm clocks themselves.

No kids, too old for kids LOL - I have never used an alarm clock in my life. I am awake before the chickens. This morning I was having coffee at 5:45 am - nice and peaceful and quiet.

How wanderful a morning! Maybe you can look at the clouds and stars, wait for the sun rising, do some exercise.

I love just waking up when I wake up. . . I do not get to do that often between hubby having a job and the cat having confusion.

Growing up, I always had a very easy time waking up. And I have to say that now that my sleep schedule is turned around again and I'm getting much better sleep, my body seems to wake up before the alarm goes off. But I do set it just so that I won't sleep the day away! lol

If I ever sleep more than about seven hours at a stretch I figure that it was something I needed. It is good that you sleep quality is better.

@CRK109 Quality sleep seems to elude most of modern society. I think we should make it more of a priority as our body is so busy doing healthy things like repair when we sleep.

I think I am a light sleeper. Being here and always worried that my grandson is going have a fit or something I wake up pretty easily. I wish he would use an alarm. My daughter and grandson are both on medication and can sleep through a very loud alarm. So I usually stay up to get them up at 5a. or so for school. At least the first few mornings until my daughter gets used to getting up to the alarm.

@celticeagle I worry about you. Your stress levels must be huge. I know, you love your daughter and grandson and I hope they appreciate it.

@GardenGerty ....That is nice of you. I appreciate you saying that. I was really surprised how well the summer went. Now I hope the school starting on the 24th goes smoothly too. If my grandson doesn't catch the bus(it's here so early) he will have to take the city bus and then he is a couple hours late for school. That worries me. I'd hate for him to miss the bus on his first day or two. See how it goes and try not to worry about it is all I can do. I worry too much. LOL

As parents and grandparents, they are great and make big sacrifices and worry a lot for their children. So you are great. Besides, I am a student whose major is medicine and I really suggest you 'd better have good sleep though you are a light sleeper.

I frequently am awake around then, but try not to get up, even for the bathroom. If I get up then I definitely need a nap.

My husband is deaf and cannot hear alarms. I would really dislike it if he was unpleasant.

@GardenGerty they make a vibrating alarm, watch thing. not sure if that would wake me up, would have to test it. so is he fully deaf, as in you have to sign or?

@GardenGerty I gotcha, mine just sleeps like a rock, and wakes up mean. until he is actually awake. That half stage I wont deal with, he can set several alarms.

I wake up at 4 am everyday, including holidays and weekends. I always want to start early with my work so that I could also sleep early.
I live alone. I don't have kids.

@fengqishi I always sleep early, around 7 pm.
I maintain my sleeping and waking up schedule even on days that I don't need to report for work.

I usually wake up at 6:30, but this month I'm on holiday and I can afford the luxury of waking up later, so there's no need for an alarm clock for me these days. When September I will have to readjust to my regular hour of waking up. It will be quite hard in the beginning, but I'm sure that within a couple of weeks I will already be awake by the time the alarm clock rings.

If I had the windows less covered and did not have things we had to do I believe I would wake and sleep with the sun, or with the chickens as they said when I was younger. As it is, I put blackout curtains up so that if we need to go to bed earlier than the sun we can.I do get up once awake and it tends to be early. On the weekend I let hubs sleep when I can.

@GardenGerty Sometimes I wake up easily. It seems as though it is harder to wake up when I slept soundly the night before.

Waking Up has a lot of implications to different people. Most of the people I know refer to waking up literally from their nice sleep in bed. There are some few who will take a little higher and view waking up in other areas of life. These few are people who examine themselves inside and out to know what needs to be changed, developed, improve, enhance, or to give more priorities. This is waking up from slumber: slumber in their love for their spouse; slumber from their duties as husband or wife; or waking up from financial slumber; waking up from health slumber; waking up from spiritual slumber, and etc. It's time to wake up when we are too comfortable where we are and find things that can make life better for our family, our community, our church, and our country.

Awareness is a form of waking up mentally and spiritually i would agree, and you could start a nice discussion on that line. It is also a form of waking up when we realize we must be responsible for ourself, and wake up in that way.

Sadly, had I been sleeping I wouldn't have seen your message. I think I somehow turned off my notifications for facebook messages and need to figure out how to turn it back on.
I do know when I call the lady back I sure hope we don't have to do a super early morning to get the rest of the pictures.

I set my alarm so I don't oversleep every morning but luckily I don't have to worry about anyone else. They all are on their own getting up
