Today I got the news that one of my friends is dead. It was a suicide. We were at the same class for two years during our advance levels. After advance levels I came to University and he got a job in textile industry.
We were not very close friends but I still gave him a call or two after we departed several months earlier. Eventhough we were not close, it still hurts a little. I was forced to think why people tend to do these kind of things.
One of my friends told me all this happened because of his girlfriend. I don't if that's true. Whether it's true or not, I believe only weak hearted people do these kind of things. And people expect so much from others.
Don't rely on others. You can try and find answers for problems yourself. You just have to believe yourself and dedicate. Running away is not the answer for your problems.

I'm sorry for your loss. But please, don't be too quick to judge. I used to think depression was a joke, too...then I began to suffer from it. Emphasis on the word suffer.
A lot of people with depression just want the pain to go away. The problem is that we in the US (and probably this is true throughout the world) don't take mental illness, especially depression, seriously. If someone had cancer no one would say "just snap out of it" or "just pray and everything will be okay." Depression is a real disease, and it's really physical (it's a chemical imbalance).

I know what you mean. The reason I don't take depression seriously is that I have suffered from it too. And my answer was patience. And it was the only cure.
Like the sun will rise after every dark night, the pain will definitely go away. You only need to be patient for see that.
