Latching on to a 2011 discussion started by another myLotter. If you love Bruce Lee (1940 - 1973), share your favorite quote in a discussion (and a cool pic if you find one!). I'm passing on this quote. ~ “The key to immortality is first living a life worth remembering.” (brainyquote.com) Well alrightee then Mr. Lee! I think you achieved immortal status. Image credit: Bruce Lee Statue in Hong Kong (Wikimedia Commons) NOTES: (1) We see loads of images showing Bruce Lee, the martial artist. We seldom see pictures of Bruce Lee, the family man. This pic is a gem! Can't share because of copyright. Here is the source: greaterseattleonthecheap.com/30954-free-admision-to-bruce-lee-exhibit-at-seattle-wing-museum/ . Enjoy! (2) This is the second time I'm reviving a discussion about this larger than life martial arts hero. My 1st discussion on myLot was titled "Who's The Man? Bruce Lee”. What can I say? I love Bruce Lee!
'I fear not the man who has practiced 10,000 kicks once, I fear the man who has practiced one kick 10,000 times.' ~Bruce Lee What about yours? :)

Seattle is a city that I have always wanted to visit, for lots of reasons. Maybe one day.

@cmoneyspinner There's some things to see in Seattle. Go to the top of the Space Needle. An excellent Asian art museum is next to the cemetery where the Lees are buried.

@JohnRoberts - Have friends who live in Seattle. They say calling it "The Emerald City" is a good description. Is that true?

Bruce Lee got a lot interested in Chinese matial arts (kung fu) in our country during the 70'S, young and old alike were walking around and practicing the "nanchaku" till the former dictatorship declared it a deadly weapon and posession would land you in jail

@cmoneyspinner Dan and Bruce have a special relationship, Dan is both student and teacher of Bruce, he taught him nanchakus and Bruce taught him Jeet kun do, so Bruce is also student and teacher.. To this day i think Dan still operates and teaches the authentic jeet kun do school that decended directly from the master in California. Hurah to our idol his unique style lives

@louievill - No I did not know that. One thing people can say about Bruce Lee is he was an excellent student. Another thing they can say is he was fortunate to have good teachers. Thanks for the entertainment trivia.

Thanks for sharing. I love celebrity photos. Especially when they're young. There are some sites that even have pictures of him when he was just a baby. Saw one where he was practicing martial arts with his dad. Really cool stuff!

I have never watched any of his movies because I'm not really interested in Martial Arts. But I know some people who are and they love Bruce Lee also.

If you say “martial arts”, “kung fu”, “nunchucks”, Bruce Lee is usually in the sentence or the paragraph. His name is like a synonym for those words. But a lot of people also appreciated his philosophy about life and his positive attitude.

Loved the History Channel when we used to have cable TV. We don't get it any more. Don't remember seeing the documentary. Maybe my husband watched it. He loves history.
