When should I start looking for my prom dress?

I'm a senior in High School and I'll be graduating in June. My prom is in June as well. My mom said we should start looking for a dress now ,a lot of girls will be shopping for their dress in the Spring. What should I do? Also should I get a custom made dress or buy one from the stores?

You should buy your dress ASAP! I'm a senior too and it is very difficult to look for your dress Last Minute! If you have the time you should get a custom made one :) The dress you make would be unique compared to your classmates.
There is one con to buying your dress early, You might not fit in it the same as you did before.
