Good evening. We got nice falling rain here. We manage to get some harvest done.Got some nice yellow zucchini This is the first time we had them.As I told in recent post I make bread for the homeless.they yellow was a mistake as Mike got the wrong plant and did not pay any attention on this. I find this sort of weird as we are used to the green one. But it does taste good. Dinner tonight.Fried haddock with zucchini and salad. I am sure that the garden will be done very soon. Good night and enjoy the evening.

Green seems more common, which is a shame, as yellow adds a nicer colour to any dish - Ratatouille, for example.

Alfredo those look like young squash more than zucchini. They are of the same family, very similar, but the taste is different.

@amadeo May be that yellow zucchini are nothing else than young squash. The next time I go to the market I check.

Is that what you call zucchini ? For along time i thought zucchini is an eggplant , though that picture looks like eggplant though colored yellow not a violet .

My late husband loved the yellow squash better than zucchini! I, of course, love zucchini more. They are both so good in so many ways. One of the things I love about summer!

@amadeo Yes it does. It's not quite as versatile as zucchini. But delicious nonetheless.

Those look yellow squash which is in the same family as zucchini. That's what I grew...they are also called crooked neck squash. Yellow zucchini would have the same shape as the green ones - straight with no curves.

I love yellow squash almost as much as the green ones. Still good on the grill or sauteed. Don't know if they taste the same in your zucchini bread?
