No rest for the weary

So here I go, another night of what I call Momsomnia. It seems like every night I am too tired to do anything productive, but never quite achieve sleep. Does anyone have the same ordeal? I just drag through day but when its time to sleep I can't.

I had this problem for many years, but now I seem to be able to sleep a little better. The more we are busy and stressed the less we arrive to sleep well.

So true. It seems like the days that I either dont have anything, or just refuse to do anything I sleep much more!

@IspeakTruth Unfortunatley it's not easy to relay when our mind is busy all the time.

Maybe you can find ways to make your chores faster. Make a plan a day before and see what you need to do. Do you like sweeping the floor all the time ? Cleaning all the time ? Some people tend to clean too much and they call it being busy. I don't think cleaning has to bite too much of our time. We don't eat from the floor and we don't eat from the roof of the closets. What do you think ? Is there anything that you do too much during the day ? Maybe that's why you can't do the productive stuff ?

@IspeakTruth Maybe you can ask them to help you, I'm sure they will understand.

I do clean a lot but I have a fairly large family. And I guess they have become spoiled, because they don't clean at all. My daughters are 3 and 4 so i don't expect much of them, but my teen and husband though I love em are slobs.

So sorry to hear you have that problem. Have you tried taking Melatonin? I heard it can induce sleep.

I had some sleeping problems before and I know how it feels like. What helped me a lot is to exercise until I am physically tired. Doing these exercises at least three times a week can help. During those times that I am thinking a lot, I can't also sleep much because of those thoughts in my mind. Easing the things we think too much can also be of help. Establishing a consistent sleeping time pattern or habit can also be of help.

Thanks! My life is a bit crazy right now. I have a teen who just joined the Marines and another who is just begining to question my authority ( I know thats part of growing up but it is frustrating none the less). As well as a 3 and 4 year old who are sweet but very busy. So they are the reasons my mind is reeling even after the house goes dark. I will try to begin to get some workouts in. That will be a good stress relief for sure!
