Yes, I am trying my best to understand some discussions here but unfortunately I could not comprehend some posts, even if how many times I read them. Well, I'm just a mediocre, so I'm sorry if I cannot comment in your discussion for I find it vague and I have no idea what to say in there. Do you experience the same sometimes?

If I don't understand a post, I usually just move on. It's nothing personal, but it can be hard to comment on a post I don't quite understand.

Me too. It seems embarrassing to comment out of topic.

It often happens when people post personal stuff. Hard to comment some of the time.

Yes, that's true especially if they write many things we could hardly understand.

@supervalon I agree with you. Me too I find it hard to comment about various topics in one discussion.

Oh, yes! English is not my native language, either. Yet, this is not the reason why I sometimes have problems understanding a post. The reason is that some posts are badly written. Period. No need to feel mediocre. I hope you aren't one of those people who always look for problems in themselves even though other people have caused them.

Oh yes, that does happen from time to time. I can understand that some of my posts can be too long and no one may want to understand my long posts .

Yes, you're right. I could not comprehend long posts with so many different thoughts. But not all of them for sometimes I love reading long posts if the topic catches my attention.

Some writers from non-English countries, try as they might, have a terrible time with the language. A post ends up being a jumble of words that make no sense at all. At least, giving credit where due, they' re trying.

@Macarrosel Yeah. Some writers, in an effort to be 'eloquent', use a lot of words to express themselves, but, they lack in the art of 'phrasing'. That, sometimes, results in an incoherent mess. Better to use a simpler writing style and get to the point.

@Wordly1 I agree that simple discussion is the best and it gets a lot of comments too.

Yes I have experienced that. I just skip those usually. But sometimes I can sort of half understand, so I ask for a little more information. I doubt you are mediocre, sometimes the discussions are not easy to figure out.

You give me a bright idea. But sometimes I am afraid to ask for I thought they might be offended. Anyway, maybe I have to do that sometimes. Thanks Alfred for the idea.

I have read many posts that I just couldn't understand or were pretty "pointless" (lack of better term) and left me with absolutely nothing to say; and me having nothing to say doesn't happen very often.
