Yes, I am trying my best to understand some discussions here but unfortunately I could not comprehend some posts, even if how many times I read them. Well, I'm just a mediocre, so I'm sorry if I cannot comment in your discussion for I find it vague and I have no idea what to say in there.
Do you experience the same sometimes?

Me too. It seems embarrassing to comment out of topic.

Yes, and I just do not comment because it is hard; just move on.

Yes, that's true especially if they write many things we could hardly understand.

@supervalon I agree with you. Me too I find it hard to comment about various topics in one discussion.

Yes, it's occasional but I'm sad for not being able to comment after reading such discussion. Seems I'm wasting my time.

You give me a bright idea. But sometimes I am afraid to ask for I thought they might be offended. Anyway, maybe I have to do that sometimes. Thanks Alfred for the idea.

Yes, you're right. I could not comprehend long posts with so many different thoughts. But not all of them for sometimes I love reading long posts if the topic catches my attention.

@Macarrosel Yeah. Some writers, in an effort to be 'eloquent', use a lot of words to express themselves, but, they lack in the art of 'phrasing'. That, sometimes, results in an incoherent mess. Better to use a simpler writing style and get to the point.

@Wordly1 I agree that simple discussion is the best and it gets a lot of comments too.

Yes I have experienced that. I just skip those usually. But sometimes I can sort of half understand, so I ask for a little more information. I doubt you are mediocre, sometimes the discussions are not easy to figure out.

Occasionally I'll stumble across a post that leaves me bewildered but most of the time I find I can gather what the person is trying to say

I have read many posts that I just couldn't understand or were pretty "pointless" (lack of better term) and left me with absolutely nothing to say; and me having nothing to say doesn't happen very often.

Yes, I skip on some of the discussions under the Most Recent section for the same reason.
