My husband bought this 1951 Dodge Power Wagon, and brought it home. Every man that comes in the driveway falls in love with this thing.
At first I thought it was really ugly, but it's kind of grown on me. It's an old military vehicle, must have belonged to the Marine Corps. going by the USMC stenciled on the side of it. It has a place on the tailgate that holds an ax and a shovel. My husband says that's called a "Pioneer Kit."
The gas tank was rusted out, so my sweetie bungeed a gas can on to the side of it for a temporary gas tank. Now he can start it up and drive it around the loop on our little private dirt road.

The appeal is evoking some sort of "manliness." It's rugged looking and taken a beaten.

Whoa. That thing is cool. And I'm not all that much into cars and stuff.

It's amazing the different things that people fall in love with. I can understand most men loving it.
