Taking that leap, moving to new employment

The past few days was a rollercoaster ride for me. But now, I've made up my mind.
Two weeks ago, I was given a job offer by another company. I'm currently employed but I'm not really happy with the way things are going because I don't think I'm growing career-wise. The new offer was tempting; aside from an increase in my present salary, the position was more managerial/supervisory in nature. A step up to where I am now.
I've been in my present company for 8 years now, so the new offer gave me mixed emotions. Happy, sad, worried, excited. I was lucky to have been given time to think about it. After weighing all options, I decided to take the new offer.
Happy for a new opportunity to grow, sad to leave colleagues that have become my friends. But opportunities like this are hard to find so I'm taking the leap. Wish me luck.

Congratulations! My daughter worked for 6 years in a big audit firm and was already a senior manager. There was an opening in another company abroad so she took the opportunity though she went down to senior staff. A year after, she became manager and now she's again a senior manager.

Thanks! And congratulations to your daughter as well. Sometimes we just have to take that leap. Sometimes we start again, but eventually if the stars align on our favor, things become better than they are at present.

Thanks. I hope it does, too. Am a bit nervous since this is a managerial position. I'll really do my best to live up to their expectations.

Thanks. Hopefully it does. But if it doesn't, as my mom said, I can prioritize my side jobs just in case.

That's what my husband and my mom said, too. Job offers for my age (at 36) aren't that many. It was a good offer and will definitely benefit me, career-wise and financially, so I took it.

Good that you have made the decision. Hope you will have good boss, colleagues, learning and growing opprtunities in your new job. Good luck to you!
I have not been in a company for so long, the longest I stayed in a company is 5 years only. It's sad to leave the good colleagues there, but I just have to move on.

Thanks! Actually, the thought of leaving my present workplace makes me sad because there are people here who have become very good friends. But the opportunity is better on the other. I've met the boss and a few employees there, and they seem very nice.

Thank you! Hope to enjoy my time there as I did (or still do, until the effectivity of my resignation) here in my current workplace.
