Kalimera, Kalimera everyone - Good Morning and because its Friday, true to my nature, you get my Friday Greek Greeting - Kalimera Katerina! The August winds are blowing, softly with some morning spittle of rain - not much and clearly with no harm in mind, the seasons are changing and soon Spring will be in the air and the hot summer months will be upon us. So I believe "thank you" is in order to the Mythical ""Reënvoël" otherwise known as the Burchell’s Coucal who has been Rain whispering all week. Its a little overcast, rain smelling dust, birds all a flutter and my cats ranting and raving all over my couches as if they had gotten some extra cat-nip! Its enough to put any spring in ones step so to speak - but I shan't be too enthusiastic just yet because our September snows are lurking behind this August happy facade. Its Friday - what have you planned? Be Happy and in so doing, you will make others happy too. I give you a special song that I love very much, and in staying with todays theme, the Greek singer Demis Roussos will serenade you with "My friend the Wind" I believe things are not all that well in Greece at the moment with all the refugee's invading the Islands and mainland - so lets hope that the WIND can bring about some change - blow all the troubles away. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CTgloMcGh7k

As you look forward to spring we look forward (ha!) to autumn. Wouldn't mind so much if we'd had anything remotely resembling a summer! What's the market like for software developers in South Africa?

@WorDazza That sounds good. So does that mean you are not so fond of Autumn and Winter?

@Inlemay I could spend your spring and summer in South Africa and our spring and summer in the UK.

yes those are lights and the Acropolis is lit up at night and is a stunning sight - photographs dont do well as the lights reflect back at the camera

No that was a question I never thought would be asked - here is the answer "Most of the major temples, including the Parthenon, were rebuilt under the leadership of Pericles during the Golden Age of Athens (460–430 BC)"

@Inlemay Aha! That was more or less my guess. Around the times of brainy birds like Socrates, Plato, and Aristotle.

Unluckily, this Friday wind didn't blew all my troubles. I want to enroll in Masters Degree but until now, I haven't done that because I don't have the money. Too many problems are constantly arising in the office because of politics. There's too much work and the salary is very low...

I loved Demis Roussos, he was honored with Honor Legion, as he has lived in France several decades, on the French Riviera, the same years I was there.

I guess you are having the sping wind in August in the southern hemisphere, but now in the northern part, in our area it is still very hot, even the wind is hot although it is the beginning of autumn. Usually in our place it will get cooler and cooler after middle September in the evening, but not during the day because of the temperature gap between day and night. Thank you for the discussion.
