President Duterte on Filipino Inventors

Quezon City, Philippines
August 19, 2016 5:57am CST
For so many years, Filipino inventors have not received any support or financial assistance from our government. The government will just say that there are other things to prioritize, thus, leaving the inventor no other options but to sell his/her work to foreign investors which will eventually take the ownership of the invention. Will our current president invest more time and money on our Filipino Inventions during his term? What do you think?

I think he will think this as a good idea. Knowing him, as our Mayor. He loves filipinos. Hopefully, in his time Philippines will rise.

@xela_r24a He will. Let us give him time. Our country is facing a very big problem and he is doing his best to repair it. Let us all wait. Once he promised, he will do it.

I think that every official office has its own responsibilities to deal with some certain events within their scope. So there must be some officials dealing with this when talking about inventions and their inventors. In our country, an inventor would be greatly awarded for his invention and it is good to encourage the inventors to creat more inventions that benefit people.

From which country are you? I think this is the DOTC, but when the most powerful person in your country put emphasis on this, and extra effort, then it would another thing I guess :)

I have to make a research about it and hear it coming from our president's mouth. I cannot guess on his plan about those filipino inventors. What I know is that change had begun in many areas of government, including some untouchables in the past. I hope that our inventors will be given priority in this new administration. Our talents are great and if we can make way for them to do their craft with much assistance, it would be great for the country in the long term.

Yes, this an area in our society where it was taken for granted for how many administrations already. You're right that we have great talents, and they will not stop, its just they need assistance from the country :)
