So recently i came across this news of a boy band who was trashed recklessly because one of the member who is currently 19 years old was accused of underage drinking. Actually its legal in their country to drink after they complete 18 years. But this incident took place in another country where they had been for a concert.
So my question is, was there a need to abuse/ trash them? I mean there are so many people out there who are underage and still drink. Why have such double standards?

I'm not sure I'd call that double standards, but a simple need to trash people who are famous. If he drank in a country that didn't allow people his age to drink, technically he was underage. It might have been he was unaware of the age limit. Or he might have ignored it. Either way, not a big deal and the people who are trashing him should really find better things to do with their time, IMHO.

@msiduri I agree with you. I just felt so sad hearing about it. I know people who do this on an everyday basis. But when somebody famous does it, they loose their cool.

I really don't think it should be a big deal. If it is legal for him to drink in his country then he should be allowed to drink. People react over the silliest things. 19 years old is not a child. If he can vote then he should be able to have a drink.
