It just started raining.
We're getting the whole nine yards, thunder, heavy rain and winds.
It's still August and traditionally August has always been hot and dry but not today. In fact when I checked NOAA it showed there is a flood warning and it even suggested we could get snow ..... SNOW?!?!?!!!! They've got to be kidding, this is a desert I sure do hope I don't start floating off somewhere.
I'll wave if I pass you by OK?

My goodness, that's really something for this time of year where you are! There was snow in the mountains not far from here, but that's in the mountains... we got all the way down to 42 at night and that's cold for here for this time of year. Strange weather indeed.

It is one very strange August @simone10 used to be hotter than it has been, I guess when our planet shifted on it's axis it started changing where the equator is and that of course changes how the seasons work. I suppose one year we'll have real seasons instead of these seesaw months we get.

We don't think of Texas as a place to get snow especially in August as you say. I'm in Colorado and I believe that in the higher elevations they have already gotten a bit of snow. Hoping that this winter is milder than last. I hope that you stay put and not float away, I believe we have enough people displaced from floods right now.

77 sounds a little too cool for this time of year, I'm happy we're still in the 80s for now and I hope we get some 90s back. Have you noticed that the seasons have been starting earlier than they did years ago?

Yeah, that makes sense @crazyhorseladycx over the years the weather in Albuquerque always seemed to be more 4 seasonal then here and even Las Cruces tends to have more of a seasonal change than we do although not too much more. Alamagordo gets more normal seasonal changes than either of LC or EP.

That is crazy. We don't even get snow this time of year. The weather sure has been crazy the last number of years. You never know what to expect. Who would have thought the desert would be calling for a chance of snow on August? Wow!

Snow in August is truly a sign of trouble with the weather. Build a snowman and take a photo of it for me.

If you get snow @rebelann , I would think that would be one for the record books. Although, as screwey as the weather has been this year, nothing would surprise me.

Yeah it would have made the record books alright but luckily we only got rain and now the flooding that caused is the talk of the town right now.
It sure is screwy alright, I can't remember such a cool August in the 56 years I've lived here. We're supposed to stay in the 80s and very low 90s for the next week at least which is very odd in itself. Usually we only cool down to the 90s this time of year, 80s' shouldn't come round til late September.
