Four years is a long time away from home, your families and friends. Well, since I graduated from college, I have been working far away from my hometown. I can only go home for a visit during the summer and winter vacation. Thanks to the Internet, we can talk to each other on Wechat, making it nice and easy.

I know how it feels. It is hard to be away from family but you have to go where the jobs are. I hope you get to go visit them often.

Do you wish that you finish your contract soon and go back to your loved ones, in the safety of your home very soon? Take heart and be very brave, and I pray that you are keeping safe. Lots of hugs, @CharMae2

I am also the baby of my family but I couldn't wait to leave. I have been away for about 2 years total and I don't find it hard being away at all. I talk to my dad about once a week and my mom only once a month maybe. I don't speak to my siblings but probably once every two months. I don't form attachments well so it is easier for me to leave.

@CharMae2 I am in college and it is a mountain college town. We really are in the middle of no where. We have no big named places or brands. Everything is local mom & pop stores & they buy everything from a farmer's market. I miss my dog more than I miss my family. Like I said I just don't form attachments very well, especially emotional.

i'll try to practice that way but its hard you know. but im so amazed with your capability of living alone like you didnt even miss them? might because of the environment/ im in the middle of nowhere, so much different to our place.

It's a long time. It's really difficult to stay away from family in young age. But when it is for some good reason, things seems a bit easier.
