The WWE Universal championship Belt looks Ugly

I thought the ugliest championship Belt in history of professional Wrestler are the Spinner World heavy weight championship belt, Divas championship pink butterfly and the hardcore title. Those belts looks ugly but thankfully they were retired.
When Stephanie Mcmahon announced RAW will have a new championship belt and it will be called Universal Championship, I thought it will look extravagant and prestigious but it looks so ugly the live audienced bood loud. The Women's championship belt looks better than it. I mean a red colored belt.....
Lucha Underground and TNA have better looking Championship belts now.

WWE fans did voice their displeasure with the new Universal Championship belt. It looked like a run of the mill belt that was covered with red paint!
Maybe this is part of a story similar to when John Cena introduced the spinner championship belt. Perhaps, the first Universal Champion, The Demon King, Finn Balor, will junk the belt and introduce the new and improved Universal Championship belt!

Ugly belts like the Spinner belt and the Diva belt lasted for 8 years though. SO I guess we might see 8 years of this ugly belt. 
I hope Smackdown will be careful on designing their Tagteam and women's belt.
I heard the cruiserweight belt of Raw will be purple....

The Spinner belt was fine considering it was held by John Cena who at that time still had his hip-hop gimmick @CaptAlbertWhisker . The Diva belt had a butterfly design which I guess to the minds of WWE Creative represented women.
My favorite belt would have been Stone Cold's Championship belt... the one with the skull. That belt was bada$$!!!

@allen0187 Apparently they were trying to be like UFC where all titles look the same. WWE just try to be "original" by differentiating it with colors.
I think the sideplates is the best decision though because it can have logos that represent the champion and there wont be need to change a whole belt.
I heard most of the women hated the Diva Belt because it is hard to take it seriously. They were happy about the women's belt which actually looks manlier than the Universal Belt.

The official belt looks cheaply made, though given the financial hit WWE's taken for their mistakes, I'm not surprised by that. Dunno why they went with red though...

They were suppose to be the biggest wrestling company but LU and TNA have better belts now. To make it worst Shimmer also have a better looking belt and Shimmer is a straight to DVD promotion.

@Hanyouyomi I think they were trying to mimic UFC were all belts look the same but they decided to have color coding for uniqueness sake.

@CaptAlbertWhisker Well the only excuse I can think of now is that WWE are aware that everyone knows what they do is all an act, so they don't bother to keep the illusion.

The top one looks much better for a championship belt. I don't care much for the red one at all.

The top one is a fan concept! Imagine a fan have a better creativity than someone being paid thousands of dollars to design a belt.

@CaptAlbertWhisker That is sad. The top belt is more traditional of the WWE and what one would expect it to look like.

@Happy2BeMe For the first time in history, The women's championship belt looks better than the Main event belt. It looks more prestigious with the white strap and the red part in the middle is red crystal instead of red leather.
