Apply lemon juice on the scalp daily. This will effectively reduce dandruff drastically.
Even warm coconut oil is effective. I have tried lemon juice and it was effective.

I heard that using too much lemon on scalp can cause greying of hairs.

I had gotten it really bad all of a sudden and I started using head & shoulders dandruff shampoo and it works great. It makes my head a lot less itchy and no more dry scalp. I stopped using it because it was causing my hair to dry out way too much and started using argan oil of morocco for my frizzy hair and since I have started to us it my dandruff has also went away.

ketoconazole shampoo is a fast remedy , but it never prevents it from coming again. After removing dandruff take care of your hair by oiling and shampooing periodically

It's mostly just 'your own skin, as it dries up & flakes off,' right? I'd suggest 'bathing regularly (daily, maybe every other day or so, etc.)' and 'being well-hydrated' (drinking a little more water).
There will not be any "instant results" (unless there are ), but just give it time.
