My laptop's dying a slow death...

Well things couldn't have gotten worse since last week. Ever since my "E" button stopped working, now my keyboard's not working at all. I believe I might've shorted it last week after I used compressed air and a hint of water to remove the dirt between keys. It might've shorten my keys with a drop of water damage.
Now my volume is gone and doesn't work on Firefox and real low on Chrome. Only power and mouse keys work on my keyboard so far, while I used my internal keyboard in the meantime. I did contact Apple about it this morning via chat and did a free service provider to restore power, twice. It didn't work. Now I have to make do without volume until I can schedule a free quote for Apple to repair my keyboard at the Genius Bar. I might not have money for it until next year. I'm waiting to hear back on my brother on what to do and when to make it for this weekend.

I use a wireless mouse so I keep a second mouse (a plug in one) in case the batteries die and I don't have any more. I also have saved key boards from other computers so if this one fails I have a spare. Good luck with getting it fixed. i often think its better to buy a new one. (with a guarantee..)

@PainsOnSlate Thanks. My dad mentioned it on Thursday night. I hope it's cheaper. I would love to do the in-house one. But I checked and it's about $100 over there. Not bad. I would have to take care of it next weekend as soon as I hear from my brother.
