Have you ever regretted a decision you made?

Decision making is always a part of our routine. We cannot let a day pass without coming up with a decision such as what to cook or what to eat, what to wear in a certain occasion, what to bring during a trip, and a lot more. Are there any ordinary decisions that you regretted at the end of the day?

It's human nature. We will go to the grave fill with regrets large and small. Shoulda, coulda, woulda.

Is it possible to make decisions with lesser regrets?

@annierose Regret comes in all sorts of degrees from the shrugged off "Oh well" to this changed my life for the worse.

Everyone has their share of sorrows, troubles and regrets.Likewise there is none who is burdened with more than he or she can bear or tolerate. If the decision was related to a relationship ,then it can be mended after regretting. If the decision is related to something materialistic, then regretting over it is a waste if time.Rather,we should learn from the mistake and try to avoid it in the future.

@ZToAdore They say that if someone commits the same mistake twice, it is no longer a mistake. It is already a choice.

@AmbiePam I am sort of an impulsive person too. I do what I like sometimes without thinking about consequences.

There's been plenty of times I regretted something I did fairly quickly. Part of life but the good thing about regrets is many lessons learned through it.

@LovingMyBabie I do agree. The optimists said that there are no really mistakes in life, but just lessons to be learned.

I think we all have regrets, large and small. The other day I regretted eating those peanut butter cookies which spoiled my enjoyment of supper. I have many life changing regrets that I just have to remind myself that God has forgiven me for and try to let them go.

@1creekgirl I do make that thing also especially if I love the food very much. I cannot resist the temptation.

@else34 It does happen to me as well. So sometimes, I get stranded for long hours waiting for the rain to stop.

I have had major regrets and wish I could entirely get over them. It doesn't help to dwell on them later. The little ones I don't worry about.

Perhaps there was a reason that we made a particular decision. It might be that there is something that we need to learn?
