Maybe you better try to eat some raw lemon, it can ease the nose snot.
Then, you better put some tissue paper in your nose, so the snot won't flow out. You will have to breath from the mouth tonight, so, you will be able to breath. If you are able to fall asleep, the snot will reduce and your condition will probably improve.
When I have cold, I just put some toilet paper in my nose to absorb the snot and I breath from the mouth.

I hope the meds work for you. My son and my sister have multiple allergy problems and they both get the shots.

I used to take a daily allergy pill, like claritin or zyrtec or allegra all the time, and then benadryl at night. Benadryl is tricky because for some people it makes them seriously sleepy and others get all wired up from it. My newest doctor said that it would be more effective and easier on my whole body to use one of those steroid nasal sprays. Not a decongestant one, but one like flonase or nasocort or nasonex, or clari spray. I have been doing that when my allergies are bad, and it is a once a day treatment. It seemed expensive at first but it is a twenty four hour relief, and 120 days worth in a bottle. There are store brands available. I would not change back to pills ever. I do also use a saline nasal spray if I am not having a serious trouble. I hope you find something that gives you the relief you need.

Thankfully I've never suffered with hay-fever but I know it is a real pain for those who do. Hope the tablets help.
