I finally finished the baby blanket

It took me awhile, but I did finish the baby blanket, as Ii needed to have it done before Sunday, as the baby shower will be then. It consists of 80 squares, made into 8 strips of 10 squares each. I whip stitched them as I went slong instead of whip stitching them all together after I made them. It was easier for me to do it that way, as I didn't have to worry about starting and stopping in the middle, if I had rerun out of yarn in the needle. I am so glad I finished it, as now I can relax more and not have to work so hard to get it done, which means I will be in here more as well.

@howard96h I do too. The petals were made first with everything else crocheted behind them. It is kind of awkward, but I got it done, and I think it looks okay, and I know she will like it.

Thank you. I like the way it turned out, and the mother to be will like it too. She isn't hard to please at all, and she told me to surprise her, and I certainly am.

@infatuatedbby I am sure she will too, as she isn't hard to please and when she was pregnant two years ago with her son, I made things for him too, and she loved them all. I am anxious for the shower to see her expression on her face when she sees all that I made and purchased for her.

I think she will too. She told me to surprise her, and she certainly will be surprised. I will be anxious for the shower to see her expression when she sees everything I made. I also bought a few items too, so she will get a good start on her new baby daughter.

It is beautiful. I'm sure the mother-to-be will love it. Ruffles take a lot of time and wool, don't they? You must be pleased to be finished - and very proud. :)

The mother to be just loves it, and I am so glad. In fact everyone at the baby shower loved it too. I kniw tht she would though, and when it got passed around, everyone just had to feel how soft it was.

I am definitely going to be here more. I just wanted to devote my time to finishing what I started, so I can give them to her on Sundsy. I know she will like them, of that I have no doubt.
