How long one should work for low paying tasks?

I have this question for years. Apart from our regular job we do during the daytime. I wonder how long we are supposed to work on low paid cents tasks. I mean what if invested time in the other task that can bring better revenue?
I am thinking in that direction. i am thinking about learning admin and project management task and may take on freelancing work. This way I guess I can manage better pay jobs as a freelancer than spending time earning few cents here and there.
What do you think? Do you think one should invest into learning better skill to earn more??

Workers tend to focus on what comes after the dollar figure, but HR experts say there are factors relating to your happiness and quality of life you need to keep in mind, too. For some workers, especially ones in entry-level positions, taking a lower-paying job might be worth the trade-off if it means being able to advance rapidly through the organization. Some people thrive on interaction and social stimulation. Bank tellers, for instance, love their jobs even though they don’t get paid a lot.

Yes , why not ? If you have the spare time , then go for it . It's an additional skill that can make you earn extra money when you have finished it .

Freelancing is nothing but participating in a bidding. do you like to bid for the lowest price and hit on the belly of other freelancers? Please do not do that. At least let them get some money.

@skysnap Generally, forum posting will pay that much only. Getting paid in time is also a great thing in forum posting. I have seen some forum posting site which are closed and some do not pay at all.

@skysnap but I think we need a tutorial or training about this one, self learning is just hard.

I think one should always invest into learning better skills, whether or not to earn more, but to add on more values to ourselves. I agree that getting freelancing jobs might give us higher pay, though it may not be easy at the beginning. Moreover, I think it's good to find what interest you and then go and learn it.
I have always been thinking of setting up my own portfolio in those freelancing sites, but I have not do so. I have not really set up my freelance business well yet, though I have registered my own company name for it for a few years since I became a work from home mom. Your post really triggered me to think more seriously about it - spending lesser time on these online work, and focusing more on setting up my own freelance business.
Good luck to you!

I think that is an excellent idea. I sat for about an hour today trying to qualify for surveys on sendearnings to earn a little money. I just kept getting disqualified so I gave up. It was a waste of an hour!

If you have the skills to work a higher paying job, then you should do that.
