Hey everyone. Was wondering what a song/or a few songs you can think of that are really powerful to you.. That might send chills down your back.. Or put tears in your eyes, that kind of powerful! I know there are/have been many for me.. But what really rings a bell here, is I was at an Alanis Morissette concert, a few years back, and she was singing.. And hit some very high notes (she did a beautiful job by the way!) and it definitely put tears in my eyes, that has never happened to me at a concert, and I've been to a decent amount of them. Anyways, just thought I would share that, haha :) Of course, unfortunately, I cannot remember the actual song name.. Image by Pixabay.

A song that I think is powerful for me is by Celine Dion, It's all coming back to me now. It just a sad song for me it reminds me of losing something in life.

Truthfully, I am not a huge Celine Dion fan, but I do agree she has a very powerful voice and I can understand why she has so many fans and all that jazz :)

I find a lot of Celine's songs have that affect on me. She has such a powerful voice and she sings with so much emotion. Her songs get me every time.

There are lots of them, but this one particular song springs to mind. I heard it on the radio and it stopped me in my tracks, I just had to know who was singing this song. It was Delbert McClinton, and the song is "Everything I Know About the Blues." I am including a link because he's not nearly as famous as he should be, and you might not have heard the song.

Excellent! :) Thanks for sharing. No, I had never heard of him, and that is not the typical genre of music I listen to, but it is good!

@mawdest I'm glad you like it. Delbert is hard to pin down into a particular genre. He's a country, rock, blues guy.

"Might as Well Be Free" by Jon Butcher is my personal motto. I've seen Alanis twice. She's great live!

Cool man, will have to check this song out :) Wow you have seen her twice? That's great. What years, if you remember and don't mind me asking, haha. I am just particularly curious if you saw her in the 90's.. Not that it should matter because I just saw her like 2 years ago maybe it was 3.. But she still sounded amazing!
