I been reading the free apps for remote from Phones and if I am reading it right it says to turn TV wi-fi on. Well with the TV I have it does Not have Wi-Fi it not a smart TV. I am wondering if anyone on my lot know the right app I need for this kind of sharp TV? My phone is a Android moto E. Thanks for any information.

No. Most TV remotes use infrared signals to control the TV. Phones use Bluetooth (a short range radio transmission at a particular frequency) to communicate, so phones and the older kind of TV are not compatible.

I use TWC app on my ipad, not sure about android. You would need account password to use it in any case.

Hi as of right now my TV is not hook up To the direct TV. So I only have a VCR and DVD player hook to the old TV.

I guess I have to go to The store and spend like $5.00 and Get a universal remote like I did before.
