I am living in Vancouver. There are a lot of Chinese living and working here, including myself. Some of my friends said they like Chinese because they contribute to the local economies. For example, most of the luxury brands are consumed by Chinese. The Chinese international students are increasing dramatically for last a few years. However, others said they think Chinese are annoying. They do not obey the rules, especially Chinese drivers. What is your thought about it ?

I do not think it is right to generalize people, there are good Chinese and bad Chinese, the same way there are bad Filipinos and good Filipinos. It's impossible to judge a group of people in your community based on ethnicity alone, I look at people as individuals

Thats right @louievill people are individuals, you can't judge someone because their have a other origin or have a other religion. You have bad people all over the world AMEN

@AkoPinay It seems you are not happy with the reality. I hope you can have a good career. A suggestion for you: if you can not change the reality, just jump out of it.

There are several Chinese dominated communities in the Los Angeles area but none where I live. There is the proverbial Chinatown in downtown. I rarely interact with Chinese so can I can't form a negative or positive opinion.

@122037 In general I have a good impression of Chinese people. Smart, industrious, family oriented, tradition. They do tend to stick their own communities where all signs even billboards are in Chinese and not really assimilate but that's basically those from the old country and typical of immigrants throughout US history. Young people like you go out and mix it up bringing your culture to others and exploring theirs.

I have a lot of Chinese friends. I don't have problems with them. They are business minded and wise spenders.

Well...I never like stereotyping. I like Chinese people. I find them to have similar ethics to that of Indians. ...so that's easy to get along and understand. I currently do not have any Chinese friends though...never really had the opportunity to interact.

Yep, It is fun to make friends and talk to new guys. I learn a lot of stuff by talking with friends or even strangers. I just found this website yesterday and I like it. So many active people will engage with discussion.

The Chinese in my country had been around for hundreds of years even before the Spaniards came. Some people are just not used to the Chinese, that's all. There are good and bad people who ever the human tribe is.

Yep, sometimes, people can not get well with each other because of different culture.
