Your First Internet Money

What was it that earned you your first money from the internet? Do you remember those surfbars? There was one called AllAdvantage I remember using. Another one called I think CashSurf, I used those at different times. I think AllAdvantage was the first money I had from the net.
There was a site called prizes.com that looks like something completely different now. But at the time I won a hundred dollars on a scratch-off, and I also won stereo speakers there.
Do tell, what are your early memories about earning or winning on the net?

My first online earning site is Upwork (formerly Odesk and Elance) and still currently active working on some projects on that site.
I was hired on my first bid (proposal) for an hourly work (maximum of 40 hours a week). That client paid me $15/hour to review their contracts for their clients. For my first week on Upwork, I earned $600. I used that money and added some to it to open my first dollar account. He was my first and one of my regular clients.

That's really good. I have always been thinking of setting up my freelance journey at odesk and elance when I quit my office job and started to take care of my children a few years ago, but I never get to do it. Perhaps when my children are older, I will do so. I still prefer doing those freelance jobs, though writing at mylot sounds really enjoyable.

I just recently discovered earning money online so this is all new to me. The first site I earned money on was Slice The Pie doing music reviews, I made a lot of money there but just got tired of the same thing over and over again. I haven't been back there in quite some time.

I heard many good reviews about Bubblews. The site got very good name also. I actually wanted to register on that site. Unfortunately, I came to know that that was closed. I felt a lot.I missed some sites like that. People and writers had enjoyed that site. Just two days after a decision has been taken to go for registration of the site this has disappointed me a lot.

I think my first online income came from mylot or BlogCharm, a blogging platform that paid. I was really happy to receive my first payment online, via paypal.
I remember AllAdvantage, but I think I did not join or I just didn't reach the minimum payout. I was busy at work when I was first introduced to the online work, so I did not spend much time working online.

With real products, I sold old war time bills on ebay Philippines, but on free earning sites think it was Neobux.

In 2000 I started writing for IgoUgo and I earned a ton of Amazon gift cards from them over the years, no doubt several thousand dollars.

@shivamani10 it all depends really because your earnings are based on how many views your article gets. The most I made in one month there was about $100. They are still there but they are own by another website now and I think it's called demand media.

I tried earning money with Bubblews. It was a great program. That's because I'm the type of person who doesn't like to have 10$ per month... what should I do with a 10$ earned by hard time?
If you ask your parents, you get them in 10 seconds. You can even earn more on the street!
But Bubblews revealed his secret side and show me I could't get paid. I reclaimed my money a lot of times but I NEVER received my payment. So bad.
My first money online were made in an Italian website, called Ermesing. It has high potential, but it is now full of craps and I will not write on it again unless it would remain my only choice :)

@CinnamonGrl Yeah. They were good at first. It was like a treasure for me, because I love talking about me and my experiences but I lack the volountee of doing it. Even because I'm not so good in English to be "great to read".
I'm trying myLot now. I'm sure I will not earn even a dollar with it, But I love seeing that you guys are an active and GREAT community. Thank you for being like that :)

My first online earning was for Helium, a writing site that is gone now. I looked at my account and found seven cents. Since then, I have earned much more on many sites. I cashed out on Helium many times and will always be grateful for my first online cents.

@CinnamonGrl I noticed that most people earned their first money online at some writing site. I was amazed by how many there were that went out of business.

My first such experience must have been Epinions. I started reviewing stuff there in 2000. I became pretty well known for my guitar and stereo equipment reviews. I wrote under the name Horswispr and would sometimes run into people in guitar stores who had read my reviews. Woo hoo--I felt like I was famous!

@CinnamonGrl If cockatiels were pre-teen girls, I'd be like Justin Bieber. They appreciate my rock star tendencies more than most humans. Heh. But I do miss Epinions and the "identity" that I established there.

@JudyEv I have gone to join so many sites that I can't remember what happened when I went to that one.I should check it out again. It seems like I remember either they weren't taking new people or else they didn't accept a sample I sent. ..wish I could remember. I'll go back there and see.
