I want to plant a peach from the seed, or from the peach pit.

I have tried in the past with absolutely no success, to put a peach seed that has removed from a fresh peach from the supermarket and placed into a pot of dirt and nothing ever came up but then I never before today, actually read any articles on how to properly plant a peach seed to get results, that is, to grow a live peach tree from it. Here is one article I think you will find of help to you if you have the same desire as I do to start a peach tree from a seed: In any case, good luck in your garden!
While they may not look or taste just like the originals, it is possible to grow peaches from seed pits. If you're interested in growing peaches from seed, then the following article will help with that.

To clarify in response to your question, the reason is, I bought and planted two young peach trees in our back yard. ONe was Alberta and the other Georgia. They took a few years to mature and begin to produce fruit. Then came the ice storm that practically killed them and they lost many limbs. That following spring the local birds, Grackles and squirrels began devesting the peaches by taking a bite out of each one then throwing them on the ground until almost all were destroyed. I wanted to start from scratch just for the challenge. I am not a successful garderner and want to prove that I can do it from scratch and maybe get better luck if we don't have many more severe winters like the one that killed the two I planted.

I, too, have tried planting peach pits with zero success. Thanks @lookatdesktop for sharing this article. It makes me want to try it again.

I think you are suppose to dry out the pit for some time before you try and plant it. I could be wrong. I need to watch that video above.
