I can already feel Fall in the air here! Have you noticed it where you live?

There always seems to be a day when I really notice that Summer is going to be ending soon. We've had some coolish and hazy days recently, the latter due to all of the wildfires burning throughout California.
But last night, after a day of cycling and basketball with a kid client, I noticed a chill in the evening air that hadn't been there before. I'm sure the actual temperature didn't drop below the upper 50s here in Pleasant Hill, but I felt it anyway.
Can you feel Fall creeping in where you live (or Spring, if you're "Down Under")? The photo is from a couple of weeks ago, hiking on the Inspiration Point trail in Tilden Park. That's the Golden Gate Bridge in the distance.

We did have a couple of nights where the temperature really dropped and then the heat was back with humidity and no more cool nights. So my answer, not quite yet.

Evening too! I notice a bit more chill in the evening air. @ElizabethWallace mentioned the difference in smell too. I'll look (sniff) for that.

@TheHorse I think we are unconsciously aware of the smell, but paying attention to it makes us realize it has been there all along. Nature's early warning system, I guess.

Right. Each season has a smell. We notice them the most when they first arrive. Then I think it becomes our new normal.

@TheHorse Enjoy the nice days while they are here. They are tracking a hurricane that we are supposed to get early next week. If we have to evacuate, I won't be online. If the electric goes, my laptop goes because of a bizarre setup in this park that connects the Internet to the electric.

@TheHorse It happens a lot down the hill from me, but not up where I live. It's one of the things I like about this little part of SoCal.

Great minds and all that- I had this exact feeling this morning when I took a walk. It was only a little cooler, but the quality of the air was different. It felt like fall. Hard to explain, but you get it living in the same state, even if you're pretty far north of me.

@ElizabethWallace I'll check for that up here. I'm usually pretty sensitive to smells!

@TheHorse It's also a smell, I think. It smelled like fall, but there was not rain in the air. Sometimes, I think it's a change in the ozone when it's going to rain. But fall feels/smells different than rain.

@teamfreak16 I may head up to Montana in a couple of weeks. I'd better bring my Winter coat.

We have noticed a change in the weather this week, temps dropping down into the 50's at night. We weren't getting below 70 last week at night. We have also got rain this week, nearly every afternoon, we are in monsoon season here. Our mountains have already gotten a dusting of snow too. It won't be long before our highs are in the 50's and then below freezing won't be far off.

@TheHorse, we haven't gotten a lot, but enough. My daughter was saying that she went up to Sacramento last weekend and that it was really hot. She recently moved to Vallejo, so a definite difference in weather.

Yes, I have noticed the mornings are rather chilly. I like it actually. Halloween will be fun and the time before and after. I like the scary movies, decorations, carving pumpkins and feeling the paranormal aspects too. One of my favorite times of year. I enjoy the fall and the spring.

Nah, even though it isn't a hundred degrees, it still isn't fall. I want a chill!

@TheHorse NOW, this morning it's cooler. We should be getting highs only in the 80s for about the next week, if the forecast is correct.

Yes, I have noticed a lot of signs that shows fall is coming. The leaves of ginkgo is turning yellow, some leaves of trees is falling, my summer vacation is going to end and I will have a new term, peaches's and watermelon's price is rising, moon cake has appeared on supermarkets and the Mid-Autumn Festival is coming. You see, I am a foodie.
