~Busy With Schooling & Doctor's~

We have been busy with Home Schooling which has been going awesome so far this year! I am so excited. =) The kids are learning so much. This week the kids have all had doctor appointments. My youngest daughter and oldest son need glasses. My oldest son also needs to go to the orthopedist, one leg is longer than the other. My youngest son, Julian needs to get an ultrasound of his head since they feel like it's too big for the rest of his body... So, many appointments are coming up in our future...again. Oh well, could be worse. How are things going for you?

I hope everything is alright with all of the kids, it does sound like a lot of appointments all at one time. How are you feeling?

@BelleStarr It is a lot of appointments. They all went for their physicals and I was expecting everything to be fine-but that's not quite what happened. I am doing okay, thank you for asking-just tired.

Just a few things to do around your place. I can't say as I miss all the different appointments. I'm glad to have a break from them. I've been pretty busy this week. I had two interviews, one on Monday and one on Tuesday. Then I was hired by the company I had the interview on Tuesday. So I worked Wednesday, Thursday, and yesterday. I have a day off today, which is nice.

@LovingMyBabies I am enjoying it so far. Although for the most part it's been pretty much just training but that's fine.

@LovingMyBabies I could tell you some stories you would not believe about Mom's who did not care about their children's health.

Just keeping on keeping on. Attending to family business and myLotting. It will be nice tonight to relax, have some ice cream, watch a movie. Maybe watch a little of the ballgame with my mother. Never stop with kids, now does it? I remember those days.

So glad to read a post of yours this morning, I was wondering if everything was okay with you and your little family. Children sure do keep Mom busy and being their teacher on top of that, that is double duty. A 24/7 job, no respite. Keep enjoying the children! They grow up too fast.

When I was a child my head always seemed too big for my body, but it levelled out naturally. I hope it's the same for Julian.

@moffittjc My husband years ago thought my job was a joke. Then he was laid off so I went to work full time outside of the home. He told me one day, okay I want to go back to work and you stay home again with the kids. I asked why, I thought it was easy... He said I'm sorry I ever said that to you!

@LovingMyBabies Most people don't realize how hard the "job" of mom is! I'm a single parent, so I can relate to how tough it is to raise kids!

@judyev Yeah, I wouldn't have it any other way though. More worrying than anything over doctor appointments.

When you do home schooling do you have to meet a state or national curriculum standard?

@Ronrybs At the end of the year a teacher checks their portfolio to make sure they are learning and improving from one year to the next. We also do end of the year tests to make sure their on the level they need to be on. The tests are mailed to the state and then mailed back is the copy of how they did on it.

Everything is going very well here, just the usual. As you say, it could be a lot worse, I admire anyone who can do what you do, home school your children, keep up with all appointments, housework, laundry, cooking. You really have your hands full.
