Recently, my tablet tanked. It died. The droid bot fell down and couldn't get up. I labored for days to save his life, but to no avail. Dead.
I didn't plan to replace it, but as the days went on, but I realized how empty my life was without it.
It was my remote for the TV. It produced immediate answers to my entertainment questions through the IMDb app. Why does that actor look familiar? Ask the tablet.
What's the weather? Ask the tablet.
Did that email come yet? Ask the tablet.
Bored? Play a game on the tablet.
Want to read a book? Kindle app.
Do I need a quick answer to some random question that wandered through my mind? Tablet. Instant answers on everything from what to make for dinner to how many days until Christmas? Check the bank account, go shopping, track packages from shopping, do everything on the tablet. All of that lost when the droid bot died.
So, I had to buy a new tablet. And I am going to make it a worthwhile purchase. I will make it pay for itself by NOT using the desktop. Saving electricity. Yeah, that will do it.
A new best friend, a trustworthy companion. The tablet can give me instant communication, and sing me to sleep. It's everything to me.

I use mine more than the computer or my smartphone. It's just the right size to be handy.

@Rollo1 The lighter the better. I'm not into tools being too heavy.

Ha! I'm still using my trusty laptop which does all that but maybe not as instantly and do I know what a droid bot is? Not on your life---and I need to know how you can avoid using the desktop- does that mean keyboard? Or do you have another computer for that? See- totally tech-clueless!

I love your post.... I can understand you wanting a new one sooner... rather than later.... Since purchasing my tablet ... I hardly ever use my desktop now... I hope you get one.... and get back into 'everything' lol
