This week my country has been celebrating her independent day. There are lots of fun activities can be enjoyed in the town square near my house as to celebrate it. And many traditional cake and beverage, too.

Happy Independence day to your country! Enjoy it! The traditional cake made me a little bit more cirious, how does it taste,what ingredients contains?

Thank you Vali. I wish i can show you some pictures of traditional cake in my hometown. They are mostly made of rice flour, grated coconut, palm sugar and pandan leaves. They taste sweet and, for me they are delicious.

Happy Independence Day Indonesia. The last time I went to Jakarta was in 2011 so it was quite a long time ago but I still remember the two weeks I went there for a business trip and interestingly enough, I did enjoy my trip there because of my indonesian friends. I hope all of you have fun and again, Happy Independence Day to your country.

I have an Indonesian friend at work and she brought in some red and white donuts - each donut had half red glaze and half white glaze... Happy 71st Independence Day! Merdeka!
