If You Delete A Response, Do They Lose Out

With the old style Mylot format you couldn't edit, you couldn't delete and you certainly couldn't delete a response.
I had a sarcastic response to one of my discussions, it was blatantly obvious that the person concerned hadn't bothered to read my discussion correctly, and they actually thought I was bragging about not going to the dentist for 8 years when that was far from the case. I wasn't
I did respond initially, but wondered if they would ever bother to check my response, after all you are not notified of a follow up, so I deleted their response.
Do they still get paid even though I've deleted the response, does it get deducted from their earnings.
Still getting to grips with the new format here.
Have you deleted a response which was rude or nothing to do with the discussion you wrote about?

Not deleted any response. Sometimes people just respond without reading the post....

I have no idea, maybe this is good way of knowing if we are still credited when we delete a response or not.

First of all, the earnings algorithm for the new MyLot is NOT the same as the old one. If someone else responds to your discussion, YOU will earn something, not the person who responded (unless you leave a comment on their response, in which case they will earn something).
As things stand at the moment, when discussions, responses and comments are deleted (either by the discussion owner or Admin), nothing is deducted, so you won't lose anything if you delete a response or a comment from your own discussion and nor will a discussion owner lose anything if you delete your own response or comment from his/her discussion.

They wont. Why do I know? There is a member here who hates me before the block feature existed. That person deleted all my comments on his discussions and my balance remained the same. I use to delete stupid comments but I dont anymore because these fillers can somehow help your discussion to get noticed.

I had to read your replies here, because I am not that familiar with the new way, either. Interesting. Sorry you got a sarcastic one Wolfie.

I see that you already have all the info you need, but I'm not sure what you mean by 'you are not notified of a follow up'? If anyone leaves anything on your post you are notified, the same as they are if you leave something on theirs.
Just to confirm what the others have said - I had a post with over 70 respeones on it (plus numerous comments) deleted, and my bank didn't go down at all.
