We Never Know What Today/Tomorrow Brings

It's easy to forget how important the people around us are and that tomorrow will always come.
It's sad to say but the roommate my mom had in her rehab facility passed away the other day. It was sudden and unexpected. I feel so bad because I felt like I was visiting both her roomie Dorothy and my mom when I went there. They were well suited for each other as roomies and I enjoyed my time with Dorothy as well as my mom. Even though I only knew her for a few months she became a part of our extended family and vice versa when Dorothys family would visit her and include my mom in the conversations etc.
Dorothy was always cheerful when I would visit and had a great personality. I didn't think I'd miss someone I hardly knew but I do. It's sad going there and not seeing her.
I'm hoping that my mom gets another good roommate even though she's kind of happy having the room to herself for awhile.
It's so easy to assume that tomorrow will come and our loved ones know how we feel.
Hugs and smiles to everyone here today.... and hope you're having a great day.

That's the reason I guess why the bible advises believers not to try to predict nor boast about the morrow cause we will never know, it's simply not for us.

I always cherish every moment and spend time with my loved ones as much as i can. You never know when it will be the last. I pray every day that i wake up and have another day on earth it's hard not to think that especially when I'm in heart failure.

That is really sad. It's true, we never know what could happen from one day to the next. =(

@Marilynda sorry for your loss. Yes, that is sad but you know since it was unexpected it was the best for Dorothy. Before she knew it she was at the pearly gates. Hope your mom gets a good roommate. I believe those things for sure it just might be that Dorothy will stay with your mom for awhile yet only in a different form.

I am sure that was hard on your mom as well. She was lucky to have a good roommate.

Finding a good roommate in a hospital is difficult so it was sad when Dorothy passed
