"I'm Pregnant!"

"I'm pregnant!" she exclaimed. She was extremely happy to find out she's pregnant. For several days she's been so depressed because her husband was diagnosed with a serious slip disc condition that needs surgery. Then the good news came.
They have been trying for several years now. She had a miscarriage on her first pregnancy and had a difficult time to get pregnant again. But now, she's finally carrying his baby! Good news always take the bad news out. Husband is undergoing rehab before finally deciding if he really needs a spinal surgery or not.
I hope he won't be needing one. That's another wish that I hope would come true soon.
You have any wishes that came true recently?

I'm sorry. I'm far from being pregnant. It's my friend. Just so happen I was the very first person she called when she found out she's pregnant coz we were both worried about her husband's condition and that she might never have the chance to be a mother.

Yup, I had been wishing for more online work and just this week, I was granted to have task trainings. I am glad I was given the chance because that will mean more work for the coming weeks or months.
My father had undergone spinal surgery in 2011 because of his spondylosis. I am glad he is fine now.
I hope the husband won't be needing one anymore...

@toniganzon That's another good news if that's the case. It is also risky to have that surgery if ever.

I already did. The first trimester is the most critical and she knows that well having come from a miscarriage. She's a very smart lady and a wide reader. Her mom is a nurse as well. She has all the medical background she needs in keeping the baby safe. I just hope everything will be ok with the baby and her husband.

His back can't be that bad if he's managed to get a baby in her...although I guess they may have been creative positionally

He was away for 7 months before that lol! He just came back about a month ago. So you can just imagine how much they've missed each other.
No amount of back pain could stop them!

@Shiva49 I don't even take meds for common colds and flu. I don't like being in the hospital. Prevention is better than cure. But in his case, I just hope he'll get better with therapy.

@toniganzon I am always against surgery as long as it can be avoided.
It is sort of tampering with our body and I believe our body is the best pharmacy.
It has inbuilt mechanism to self-sure.
I do hope therapy works - siva

Congratulations to your friend! I am really happy for her. It's really a joy to receive that news, especially when they are hoping for one.
My husband had slip disc, and after being painful for a few years, he finally decided to go for the surgery. He feels much better now, at least he can carry the kids, unlike before he couldn't even carry the baby. But, of course, I think it'd be better if your friend's husband does not need to go for the surgery.
I can't think of any wish I have that has come true lately, perhaps wishing my baby is healthy. I was told he might be a down syndrome baby, though I did not really wish he is not, as I think it's a gift to me, I wished he is healthy and grows well.
