Finally, I have started walking for around 30 minutes today. I am planning to do walking consistently and slowly increase the distance. I need to lose weight and also have my blood sugars in control with diet and exercise.

That is a great plan. I have to do the same thing. I need to get some weight off and walking has always done that for me. Wishing you all the best. You got this.

Walking has many benefits for our health. It is good for you to spend some time on walking everyday. If possible, you can try to walk faster and it will be better. Everyday I go to work and go home on foot. I regard it as my daily exercise.

@ajithlal I noticed that I responded to this long time ago. Now the sharing bike is very convenient. If it doesn't rain, I like to ride the bike to the office and go home

That is good. Soon you will be walking 2 hours without any problem. I think once you get rid of sugar from your diet, and add in an hour of walking every day, your health will improve and you will feel very energetic.

You can do it, I wish you all the luck. Sometimes I don't get the chance to walk 30 minutes because of my panic attack but I'm hopeful that the panic attack is very rarely or none at all.

I'm getting exercise too, I walk to work every day. When I do splits I walk in the morning and drive at night as I'm so tired I can't stand even the short walk home...plus my feet hurt a lot by then

Taking a walk every day as a kind of exercise is good to our health. During the summer vacation, I did a lot of walking after dinner, but now I am back to school, meaning I do not have that much time walking because sometimes I have to work in the office and teach the students in the evenings. Back to school, I ride my bicycle to my office and my apartment, which is considered a way of exercising for me.

Good for you. I need to start doing the same thing. Between the heat and being busy with work, I haven't felt like doing much. But now I'm ready to begin exercising.
