People Are Such Pigs

Yesterday my daughter Kasey and I went to Nordstrom Rack to kill some time before we went to dinner and the Celtic Thunder Show. Nordstrom is a high-end American store and the Rack is where they send their things that are discounted. Lots of designed clothes, shoes and housewares. I decided to go look for some shoes, Last time I was here I bought 3 pairs. Today I didn't find anything but part of the reason is the appalling condition of the shoe racks. People try on a shoe and then just drop it on the floor in the aisle and leave it there. Many boxes on the shelf had one or no shoes or even worse, the wrong shoes. Sizes were wrong, brands were wrong and it is nearly impossible to find a pair in your size. When you are shopping, why wouldn't you just put the shoe back in the box you took it from? People are such pigs, it always amazes me when I see it in action. These are top brands and the prices are still pretty high and it has to hurt the store when customers can't find what they are looking for. I certainly didn't buy anything.

What a terrible way to behave. You'd think it would be worthwhile for the store to have an employee there to pick up after people, and it might even shame them into putting them back themselves.

There was one woman going along and trying to straighten up a bit but it was quite obvious this wasn't something she was good at. This is what it looked like after she straightened up.

Some people have absolutely no idea about common courtesy or good manners.

I know and it was not just entitled young people, it was entitled older people too. It is just wrong.

people today have no common courtesy, they no longer treat things that don't belong to them properly. Society has raised rude and entitled people. It is very sad. If you opened it, closed it. If you removed it, put it back. If you dropped it, pick it up. It really isn't all that hard, nor does it take that much more time. If you can't remember exactly where it went, then leave it at the register. It is really rather difficult to maneuver around the store pushing a cart when items are strewn all over the walk way.

@BelleStarr It's amazing the way people are now. I was taught respect and manners growing up, parents are raising an entitlement generation with no respect. Sad.

That is exactly how I feel, the clerks are not my personal servants, they should not have to pick up after me.

I Think , it's the sales ladies task to put the right shoes back into their respective boxes . That way, next time a customer comes , it is in the right box.

@SIMPLYD This is a discount store where you are not going to get the same level of service as in the regular Nordstrom store. It has designer shoes and clothes at sharply discounted prices. It is self serve.

Yes but if you took it out, how much trouble is it to put it back instead of leaving it on the floor?

You see it all the time. You got into a clothing store and clothes are thrown all over the racks. People take them off the hanger but they can't put them back on. They go to grocery stores and they open boxes to see whatsome inside. Why I don't know. The shoe stores/departments are always the worse. I just don't get some people. No respect for anybody or anything.

I am just so disgusted with the thoughtlessness of people and frankly it was people of all ages, old and young seemed equally clueless.

That's terrible... sometimes people have no respect for other peoples property or goods... it would put me off from browsing seeing it in a mess....

Your right, I think Target is often like that as well. I wonder why the pigs seem to favor certain stores?

I think this is just a general statement of human behavior today - not much respect for anything or anyone. It really is disgusting.

Yes, people are pigs. Look around and you will see man trashing the environment and I am referring to simple things like not placing trash in a proper place.

I am always so mad when I see the tossed garbage that people leave along roads. Who do they think is going to pick up after them? The US is really the worst when it comes to this.

Basic courtesy seems to evade some people. They're so used to being waited on that they don't consider anyone else.

No manners and aggressive behaviors and no thought of others basically. I find that I'm picking up things all the time and I hardly shop.

I feel the problem here is with shop assistants,it`s not a must for a customer to return products to the right place after trying them on,that`s why there are shop assistants,to keep things tidy. But agree with you,if l can take it out to try it on, l can still put it back where it belong.no excuse
