A thumping bass leads into Ann’s opening vocals and establishes the song’s strong pace and rhythm. “Straight On” does not go as hard as “Barracuda” and Ann does not cut loose with her trademark booming highs. But the song pulls you in for the ride.
“Comin’ straight on for you
you made my mind
now I’m stronger
now I’m comin’ through
straight on. straight on for you
straight on for you”
The song was written by the Wilson sisters with Sue Ennis who collaborated on some 70 Heart songs. “Straight On” is from the “Dog & Butterfly” album and topped out at #15 on Billboard Hot 100.

Love this one, too. I have none of the Heart albums, except a "best of" album. This is on that one.

I love that song. Everything from the lyrics to Nancy's guitar solo towards the middle is what made the song.
