My Week as Momma Cat.

Last week someone dumped kittens and cat up the road, one got ran over. So we tried to catch them. I was able to bring one home after by luck after a relative caught him. By his tiny size i thought he was 2-3 weeks old.. but i noticed his eyes were already changed color which means he is about six weeks old.
I love caring for him but he is such a handful, he is still to tiny to introduce to outdoor life further than a couple hours at time. I would keep him as both indoor outdoor, but other relatives are allergic to cats.
My Cats are still keeping their distance but when i let him out for a bathroom break, i noticed one had left him a chipmunk, so they are showing that they are accepting him but are not wanting to cuddle with him. But he is in the sink his teeth and claws into everything stage so i really can not blame them lol.
My other computer monitored died as well.. So I have to get going on mylot postings to be able to by a new one.... I forgot how challenging it was to have a kitten indoors like this.. Gets into an under everything.. As he stalks my fingers as i type lol...
His favorite game at the moment is hide and seek, drives me nuts after an almost an hour of my panic and seeking him out I found him sleeping on my book shelf yesterday lol..
He is also a superb bug hunter. He pounced a fly outside and ate it leaping on it from three feet away, took care of some moths last night.
only skill he still needs to working on is his burying his potty skills. He steps in it lol I joking told him if you were girl kitty I'd call you twinkle toes lol ...As I gently was his paws off with napkin and diluted vinegar water... He has done good to keep his feet clean since.
yay relaxing at last sleeping on some socks on top of my box of cassette tapes lol....
This kitty plays three hours straight steady fire without stopping, sleeps about 3-6 hours at a time....
He is handful.. But Jimsy is my lil baby. :) ..
I was a handful as a child as well. Soon he will be pulling one of my famous childhood stunts... Up a tree he goes lol..

I miss him so much he got stolen... it is why I had not posted any updates :( .. 2 months after I had him one month after he adjusted to living outside with the rest of my farm cats.. he got stolen.. by some kids down the road.. then he escaped them and was never seen again ..... All of my kittens from last year got stolen..

@dnatureofdtrain Oh No! How awful for you. Our girl won't go near strangers so I don't have to worry about anyone picking her up.

Kittens are such cuties. But yeh it's amazing how destructive with those claws, lol. I like how they wil be playing hard and all of a sudden just go to sleep. So adorable. You rkitty is so cute. He'll figure out the potty pretty soon.

lol it is funny. other than my toes and feet and dragging him from every wire he can find. His favorite toy is newspaper cut into strips.. i drag and dangle those for a half hour. it is also funny as this kitten loves to watch music videos falls to sleep to Penatronix Daft punk on youtube lol.. I spoil the little bugger.

I have four outdoor cats, three feral kittens, and this little rescue baby. None of the kittens will come near us humans yet i can catch a glimpse of them.. and they are gone in a blink. This little rescue kitten is a cuddler though. :) . The others may come around eventually. I am legally allowed up to 20 .. but usually my cat population stays between 6 and 11. Jimsy is hunting pieces of dry catfood as we speak the rest already ate and ran theirs.. The older ones usually go on chip munk hunts together... So they are pretty feral, Chewie just takes nibbles of food then runs off and hunts, always telling me how human food is not good enough for him lol. They also get plenty of tablescraps too. My cats are pretty good at staying within the family community.. five homes of family members right in a row. Zephyr and Hiawatha my two female adults were born in 2003 and 2004, Mittens and Chewie born last year. The new litter two weeks ago.. Jimsy is estimated around 6-8 weeks. I am waiting for him to get a little bigger before I introduce him more to outdoor life and teach him how to hunt. But he already shows by his bug hunting his hunting skills are going to come in naturally. :) . He already ran off Chewie who ran up and smacked his bum he did a backward flip and swatted his face in two paws at once lol.. Chewie keeps his distance from picking on Jimsy now lol. So I am confident Jimsy will do very well with the other kitties..
