More Than 300 Were Struck By Lightning

Yes, more than 300 reindeer in Norway were struck dead by lightning!! Apparently reindeer are like cattle, they huddle together during a storm and that's why that many reindeer were killed at one time.
Some times you hear stories of animals being hit by lightning and that are killed, but usually not this many at one time. However, it happened in Utah in 1939 when over 800 sheep were killed by lightning.

That is a lot. Very sad. Maybe that is a natural way to keep the population down.
