A Night with Celtic Thunder

Celtic Thunder is a male singing group who perform a variety of Irish as well as contemporary songs. For 90% of the show they are dressed in regular clothes but for the last number they came back in their kilts and caused the groupies who were in the front center of the theater to go rather wild. The group is 5 members Colm Keegan, Keith Harkin, Ryan Kelly, Emmett O’Hanlon and Neil Byrne . Keith Harkin was not at the performance I saw, he is the one wth long blond hair, in his place was Damian McGinty, an original member of Celtic Thunder who had a recurring role on Glee which he got teased on stage about. The violin player was amazing and there was also an Irish harp as well as guitars, keyboards and drums. The show was a total of about 2 hours of which 20 minutes was intermission. They sang some traditional Irish songs like Danny Boy but my favorite was the contemporary song Hallalujah. It was a good show and we enjoyed ourselves. The Final number Ireland's Call had everyone on their feet cheering. The Legacy tour will visit 75 cities in 35 states and 5 provinces. If you love them, I am pretty sure they may be somewhere near you soon!!

I am not familiar of a lot of singing groups here including this one. But I'm glad you're having a good time watching them performed.

They came to our nearest big city and we were able to take my sister who is a big fan. They give a very polished, professional performance.

It did and I would have never have thought they were the type of group to attract groupies but obviously I was wrong!! I am quite Celtic so I find the music rather stirs my soul.

I love the Celtic style of music. I am so drawn to Ireland. It's the one country I would love to be able to spend time in. I hope to see Celtic Thunder myself one day. I have to keep an eye out on their schedule.
