Never wrestle with a pig..

. . "Never wrestle with a pig - you both get dirty but the pig likes it" --- I remember reading this somewhere a while back. I thought, what person in their right mind would wrestle with a pig for no reason at all except to get dirty? So even the person must like it too ..

I wonder what the writer really meant by this words of wisdom?..What do you think it meant? Have you ever thought of wrestling with a pig?..

Pigs are those who are filthy in their thoughts. deeds and emotions.. There is no point in engaging with them let alone fight.. they are best allowed to wallow in their own filth.

I often wonder why pigs are associated with filth when in reality, they are actually clean .. I observed them in their pens , they don't pee or poo near their food and and always do it in the same spot ..

No, I've never thought about wrestling with a pig. I've watched people on TV and never really understood how it could be fun.

i remember there was a game people play where the players compete who catch the pig first .. But the pig is usually covered with oil to make it hard to catch ..lol .. I think I saw that one on the tele as well ..

@epiffanie Yes, they do cover them with oil to make it harder. I just can't see the fun in it and when they are caught or almost caught, the little buggers scream like crazy!

I can't say that I have ever thought of wrestling with a pig but on Sunday evening I saw my neighbour running away from a goat :-)

I just heard of that expression but as I tried to digest its meaning, I think it is a reminder for us to not engage in a fight with anyone with dirty mouth and mind lest we put ourselves in their lowly level.

I have seen a man wrestling with a pig but the man wanted to catch the pig to cook for the fiesta. I hate the sound of the pig when crying for help. I pity the pig that I did not eat her meat.
