Just Say Cheeeeeese!

Do you like cheese? I'm a real cheese hound sometimes. I even like "processed cheese food" like Velveeta. I used to eat bologna or salami and Velveeta sandwiches when I was kid. I still like to clog those arteries now and then with that delightful concoction. Plenty of mustard on it.
We usually have a block of medium cheddar around, and I put some in my cooking, in sandwiches, and I like to cut it up in tomato or pea soup, too. There is always lots of it in my tacos.
I'm also a fan of Monterey Jack Cheese and pepper cheese. And I like a lot of the little cheeses they put in the Hickory Farms gift boxes.
How about you, are you a cheese fan? What kinds of cheese do you like and how many ways do you use it?

@CinnamonGrl We have a nice tub of blue cheese we add to everything. I have not had any problem with it, either. I have never been exposed to limburger.

I love cheese too! Lots of sliced cheddar in a grilled cheese, shredded cheddar in mac and cheese, or fresh mozzarella in a caprese salad. I'm going on a strict diet starting in a week and a half and there's no dairy (cheese). It is going to be rough!

I am with Marie. I like all cheese. I like the 5 year old white cheddar, the older the better. I also love Swiss cheese for a ham sandwich. The Hickory Farms Cheeses are so awesome. I love those little gift boxes.

Yes I am a big fan of all sorts of cheeses. Pizza, tacos, salads, sandwiches, casseroles, even desserts(apple pie with cheese melted on top.) It's hard to think of anything, really, that doesn't go well with cheese. Count me in!

Swiss is my favorite and provolone is the next favorite. But I adore brie or just about any creamy cheese, Yup, I love me some cheese!!! lol

i used to love cheese, sharp cheddar bein' a fav. these days, 'tis non-dairy cheese fer me, which jest aint the same. though there's some that's better'n others 'n beggars can't be choosers, eh?

I like cheese a little too much sometimes! I love sandwiches with muenster cheese. That's been a favorite since I was a little girl. I love ricotta cheese in my pasta. I got that from Mom's lasagna! I've recently been introduced to Asiago cheese and omg I love that one, too! I don't really think I've ever met a cheese I didn't like! lol

@CinnamonGrl it's great in rice, too! My late husband used to love my pasta with ricotta, and one night I made us some pork chops with some rice and he went crazy for the rice. He couldn't figure out what I'd done but he loved it. When I told him I'd put some ricotta in with the rice he just laughed! He should have figured it out! lol

absolutely love it and like you, don't think there is any I don't. lol. I think most love it . problem is it don't always like me. I have IBS and have to watch how much I can eat it these days.

The pepper jack is really good. I think I"ll put it on my shopping list, we don't have any right now. It's too much for my mother, so I have it all to myself.

My favorite cheese in the whole world is brie. My second favorite is Swiss. Yes, I am a lover of cheese. About the only cheese that I don't like is the stinky blue cheese. I just can't bring myself to eat something that stinks so bad.

Unfortunately, being lactose intolerant, I try to avoid most cheeses if I can. Although, I do admit that the hard cheeses don't affect me as bad as the soft cheeses, so I will cheat every now and then and by a block of Colby, PepprJack, or Hard Cheddar! I still crave cheese even though I shouldn't be eating it! lol

Yes I think it's a fairly common issue. I'd be upset if I had to stop eating cheese at this point. I'm too dependent lol

@CinnamonGrl The processed cheeses are the worst, so if I just stick to the quality hard cheeses, it usually isn't so bad for me!

We do not have Velveeta here anymore, or maybe in other groceries. I like our local white cheese.
