As many of you may already be aware, I am not a fan of television per se. I do enjoy a good sit down to t.v. every once in awhile, but I prefer educational over mindless. To further explain, I should clarify that the educational programs usually have to do with Royalty (British), life of the peerage (*cough* again British *cough*) and even so far as to say the life of a servant in different centuries throughout time.
I have been known to watch documentaries on mundane things such as the construction of toilet paper. It all just depends on my mood.
I came across acorn t.v., and well it's a gold mine for me. It has several different telvision serials I might be interested in, as well as some documentary type shows. The first thing I happened upon was "You Can't Get The Staff!" which follows different people of Nobility (and some regular folk) across Britain (and even across the pond to here in the US). Anyway, it follows their search / journey for a helping hand on their estates.
I not only get to see modern day servitude but also get a glimpse at several different homes.
Have you heard of the show?
What about the network?
I thought I'd pop in and mention it as a few here might be interested in the show itself.

No, never heard of this show. I guess we all have our different likes and dislikes. I am addicted to cable. I love all the options. There is a show on cable called "How It Is Made" that is interesting and tells how different things are made.

I think I have seen a commercial for that show. The rest of the household has cable but the way I had things set up I couldn't use the cable box anymore. Then another family member's cable box broke and they took the one I had.
I wasn't too bothered by it because I don't like commercials and we don't have DVR here. I am not much for watching t.v. anyway.
I think I'd like the show "How it is made" though as I like to learn about things like that myself. What kinds of things does it show being made?

@ScribbledAdNauseum ......I wish I wasn't quite so addicted to it. I don't like commercials either and with the DVR I sometimes forget what I have recorded and what I haven't. LOL
