Donald Trump meets with Mexican President Pena Nieto this morning! Gutsy or nutsy?

Wow! Donald Trump is either really gutsy or really nutsy. He is taking one mighty big risk traveling to Mexico this morning for a last-minute meeting with Mexico’s President, Enrique Pena Nieto. If I remember correctly, Pena Nieto is no fan of Trump and has (or one of the previous Mexican presidents has) adamantly stated that Mexico will not be paying for Trump’s ------- wall. This wild and crazy meeting, apparently at the invite from Pena Nieto, is taking place on the same day as Trump’s much-anticipated immigration speech later on in Phoenix, Arizona. This speech is supposedly intended to “clarify” his back-and-forth positions on immigration. Depending on how the Mexico meeting goes, Trump could come out of it looking either like an immigration/foreign policy hero or a total fool. Although Trump appears to be making an effort to improve on his immigration policies and mend some of many broken fences, this all makes me very nervous.

It seems he does not even know exactly what he wants. He changes his mind according how much popular he is. I cannot say that I would trust this man.

I am curious to see how this pans out, I want to be able to vote for him but so far I am not feeling comfortable with that but I am so uncomfortable with Hilary that it is a real catch 22.

I'm with you. I will never vote for Clinton but I'm still not there yet with Trump. I may not vote and this would be the first election ever I haven't voted in.

Can't wait to see it on TV because there is going to be a lot of tension with this one. I am sure they will try to fake it and be diplomatic.

@Hanyouyomi Fox news seemed to be positive about it but then Fox is a Republican news. I will check BBC and Al Jazeera.

@CaptAlbertWhisker CBS and ABC News were positive about it too. Now given the twitter dispute that started today, I'm curious on how the tone will change.

Yeah...Just read on 'Huff Post' that the 'Left' demands that Trump apologize to Mexico for his comments on the Illegals, which are nothing but the truth. Why should he apologize to a bunch of criminals who sneak(or ,should I say 'swagger' across our borders), waving the Mexican flag, giving us the 'finger', robbing, raping and murdering our citizens?

@anniepa First of all, I'm not impressed with the 'Trumpster', myself; I, along with you, believe that he's no more than a blowhard wannabe politician with no coherent platform. As far as the 'jobs that Americans won't do', if you're referring to the construction and landscaping outfits that hire illegals to 'bid low' on projects, I respectfully disagree. As far as the crime aspect, it's quite the eye opener to hear from the Americans in the border town and rural areas; something that the Media do their best to bury under the rug. But, bottom line, there is a reason why we have immigration laws the same as Mexico has theirs. Try crossing into Mexico illegally and see what happens. It's a two-way street. I respect your right to your opinion and, again, respectfully, this is mine. Thank you for the reply.

Huff Post is extremely liberal. You will never hear anything positive about Trump from them. They did mess up way back in the beginning, not taking Trump seriously when he first announced he was running. They refused to acknowledge his campaign and only covered him in the entertainment section of their news. They eventually have taken him more seriously.

@LindaCPearson What gave you that impression? I lived in NJ most of my adult like, therefore know a lot of the slimy actions the Donald pulled on people.
