Phone Calls

I've had a busy day. First we had to go out shopping and after we returned home in the late afternoon I was on the phone until dark. Seemed like everyone picked today to call. I would no sooner get off the phone until it rang again. My ears are tired.
I got out my sewing machine and quilt pieces and started sewing before the first call, and after that between times I sewed one line of pieces together. i usually love hearing from everyone, but when so many call it tires me out. How do you feel about phone calls?

i'm doin' the happy dance that'cha started sewin' those together. ne'er fails here that when i get a rhythm goin' with such, that's when the phone rings non-stop. i don't mind calls if'n folks've somethin' to say, most oft the other party jest kinda sits there'n silence?? i've the need to ask repeatedly if'n they're still e'en still'n the line.
does seem that the phone can go days without ringin', whilst others it'll jest not stop.

That's the way it goes, I have a couple of family members that call and hardly say a work. In that case I'm the one who does the talking. I worked on my quilt again today.Got quiet a bit of the top sewed together. It's only squares, not difficult, the quilting is what will take up time.

@crazyhorseladycx it would probably take me a year. Maybe I'll get this one done before next spring. It wouldn't take long if I worked on it every day, but I will be likely to put it aside weeks at a time.At one time I would have finished it quickly.

I feel thankful that I get very few. When I worked, it seemed that I was on the phone half the day, but now, I rarely get a call.

Phone calls sometimes are irritating especially when the one calling talks about nonsense.

I face this situation once in a month. If it is regular then I will switch off my cell. This is the only alternative. I do not have patience. People may take it differently. But, I will have no alternative than this.
