The idea of changing the names i was given by my parents has crossed my mind through out my lifetime. My reasons are 1. its a common name 2. the person i was named after #3. weird questions anytime someone hears my name for the first time. Has anyone here ever considered changing their names? Did they go through with it?

So, is Tandia your real name? If so, I don't think it's very common or strange... It's pretty, actually... But I know you have your reasons, and I don't know anything about your second reason anyway, so I completely understand if that's how you feel about it.

No i like my name and I will keep it. I would change it if it was weird like a kid I knew from an island. his name was actually DO DO. He went to court when he was eighteen and changed his first name.

the process can be tiring, i wish i had convinced my parents to do it when i was younger, now with all the identification documents, academic papers and the list goes on,

I've never wanted to change my name, When I was younger I didn't especially like it, but now I'm very happy with the name given me.
