There is a quote in Sikh scripture that says that we should not test our Guru Granth Sahib says, “Do not exhibit your sorrow, do not test your destiny. Whatever belongs to you will come to you; do not desire every day to get it. Sometimes we think that God will answer based on how miserable we make ourselves. He does notice our tears, and promises to pay back double for our trouble (Isaiah 61:7). But I believe he wants us to be happy while we are on our way to happiness via the way to his promises of fulfilment. Smile for no reason, laugh when you can, let the natural flow of joy unblocked.
